Professional and Financial Services Sector
Business Barometer Sessions
We strongly believe that in order to build on Birmingham's impressive successes, it is vital that we continually consult with and listen to as many of the city's key players in the business community as possible. The Business Barometer programme is an important component to that collaborative process.
Who
Birmingham Forward and Locate in Birmingham are working in partnership to build on a series of successful Business Barometer sessions held in 2003. Sessions are conducted with a cross section of Birmingham's Professional and Financial Service sector practitioners. The sessions are facilitated by Philip Calcutt, a well-known and respected member of the Birmingham business community and former Chief Executive of the Birmingham Marketing Partnership.
What

- current market conditions and business trends
- state of the city / regional economy
- staffing and recruitment
- national functions serviced from Birmingham
- property, transport and accessibility issues
- Birmingham's competitive strengths
- role for support agencies
