Hustle Brings Double-Dealing to the West Midlands

Popular BBC series Hustle has relocated to the West Midlands for the filming of its sixth series. The region has a rapidly growing film and broadcast sector, with another BBC series, Survivors, filming on location in the region, and films Soulboy, Tormented, 1 Day, The Children, Nativity and Faintheart having also been produced in the area recently. 

Many local film and television productions are supported by Film Birmingham, and Screen WM through its Advantage Media Production Fund – supported by Advantage West Midlands – the aim of which is to create a more sustainable screen media sector in the region.

In the same way that Toronto often doubles as New York for film makers, Birmingham as a modern, cosmopolitan city will double for London in Hustle. The show is bringing investment to the local economy, and has generated work for local crew and suppliers.
