European Bioenergy Research Institute Inauguration

June 30 2008 - July 1 2008

Aston University is holding the official launch event of the European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) on 30th June and 1st July 2008.

The inaugural meeting will take place at Aston Business School and will outline the concept for EBRI with presentations by prominent companies in bioenergy from across Europe as well as a presentation by Mike Loftus, Manager of Locate in Birmingham.

The European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) will be a centre of excellence in the bioenergy field, based on Aston University Campus and Aston Science Park; it will reside in a purpose built low-energy and sustainably managed building.

The intention of the Institute is to research all aspects of bioenergy as well as to promote and manage the implementation of bioenergy technologies at local, national and international levels.

The launch of this Institute aims to consolidate and extend Aston's unique role in bioenergy research and development in Europe, making this a new and exciting initiative for Aston University and the West Midlands as a whole.
